About Heath

It was a love of photography that inspired Heath Robbins to leave his job as an agency executive and travel the world with a camera in hand. More than twenty years later, it is his love for food, people, and making pictures, that continues to fuel his commercial photography career with focus and passion. For every client and for every shoot, Heath sets out to capture moments, tastes, and emotions that pull people out of their everyday, and straight into the moments that he creates.

Cozy Morning..........

A snowy morning, calls for a warm beverage and some kind of bakery heaven.

Love these days where we have work to do and can be focused without a lot of calls.

Enjoy the day, get lots of work done and taste some of the goodness around you.

It's FRIDAY!!!

Hey Hey Hey.........It's almost the weekend!  That said - it is Summertime too!  So, that normally means burgers, dogs and BBQ!  We love conquering all of that food - here in the studio in addition to the home.  Grilling is grilling, no matter where it gets done.  We've got the goods to grill in the studio too, should you need.  I love that!  So - whether the grilling weather is good outside or not, the grilling is always able to happen, as have a great set-up in the studio - with the right kitchen, crew, stylist, set and photographer.

Eat well. Live happy.

Early Morning Beginnings...........

The day starts with lots on the agenda........breakfast, warmth, treats, home-made goodness, moodiness, atmosphere.  All are key words to keep everyone focused on the task at hand.  Treats are starting to be made, the smells are amazing and the kettle is humming with water heating to add touches of warmth to the plans.  Winter is coming to a close and Spring is around the corner - or so we hope, but today - we continue to focus on the cozy feeling you can get with the right food, beverages and settings.

A day of shooting with Catrine is a day of wonder - plans that seem to expand and evolve.  Her energy and vibrant spirit, tied with Heath's intensity and passion, create magic on the set.  Little touches of powdered sugar here, a small sifter that adds a touch, a hint of light that strikes the set just in the right way, a peek of light blue that glistens against the white porcelain and pops just the right amount.  It almost feels like it creates music - especially when it all just works.

These are the days........creation by a team of passionate, creative, thoughtful people.  It's a good day!

A touch of homemade goodness

A special little place, The Vermont Creamery, became a story that evolved into a memorable day.  From farm to table with much love and care.  The Creamery started by two young visionaries and grew into a labor of love in a small farm in Brookfield.  A team of family, friends and creamery artisans joined together to enjoy what nature had provided.  We enjoyed our time and celebrated all that the farm had to provide.

Holiday Food Photography for Yankee Magazine

Happy Holidays! It's that time of the year again...Christmas in August. August and September are all about the holidays: presents, turkeys, cakes.. In our industry we celebrate throughout these 2 months. So, I thought I'd share a few behind the scene images from our recent food shoot for the upcoming holiday issue of Yankee Magazine. As you'll see we had a lot of fun over the 5 days we shot. It was a great crew!

The issue comes out November 1st with a special holiday food section and some great recipes.

Beth Wickwire was our prop stylist and made some amazing sets!

The talented Art Director Lori Pedric

Amy Traverso the senior editor for Yankee Magazine was also there

As usual everyone got to try things on

Lori took some amazing photos of her own and if you go to her facebook page you can see some of them: https://www.facebook.com/lori.pedrick/posts/10203734637261904

which inspired some more silliness of course

It wasn't all fun and games though we did do a little work

I even made lunch one day

Here's a sneak peak at some of the images we created.

You'll have to grab an issue to see the rest! ~Heath
