A special little place, The Vermont Creamery, became a story that evolved into a memorable day.  From farm to table with much love and care.  The Creamery started by two young visionaries and grew into a labor of love in a small farm in Brookfield.  A team of family, friends and creamery artisans joined together to enjoy what nature had provided.  We enjoyed our time and celebrated all that the farm had to provide.

Since we have another shoot for Manitowoc coming up I thought I'd post some pictures of last year's production for today's TBT. 

 As usual it was a very serious shoot...

For the last couple years I have been shooting a Christmas card for some friends of mine. The objective has always been to poke a little fun at all the holiday cards we all see every year and to do so in the style that I have shot much of my conceptual work. Taking it over the top, plus a good dose of humor is a given so you can imagine the fun we have shooting it. This year we also shot the whole thing in the studio which as you will see was something of a production to make and pull down. There's a time lapse of it at the end here.

Coco Grace does all the hair and make up and although it doesnt seem so - Lucy was having a great time.

Verne Cordova was, as usual, the master of props and set decorating!

Every shoot has it's moments. Fun ones, stressful ones, creative insights, creative confrontations, the moment you really need a cup of coffee or the one where you want something stonger, when partnerships form and when it all comes together...

We recently had a shoot for PartyLite that involved 12 models and 9 crew members on location for 2 days. What struck me while editing was not, however, anything like I described above. It was looking at all the outakes of the shoot I saw two things: 1. We have a really good time on set and 2. I could put some really funny captions on some of these moments in between takes.

Here are some of them and just to be clear - I never yelled at anyone, at anytime. Never out loud anyway...

All summer long we shoot glistening turkeys and delicately wrapped presents on front of sparkling trees. We get to celebrate the holidays over and over again! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at a shoot we did for the Staples "Holiday Center" website. This wasn't the usual subject matter...who knew you could make gorgeous centerpieces out of pushpins or delicate desserts from Bugles? We had so much fun working with the husband and wife styling team Jeremy and Caroline Woodward; there was lots of glitter flying at midnight before our shoot! The master of confections, Monica Mariano styled our food. Our new in-house producer, Drew, survived (and flawlessly executed) his first big job. We cruised through an aggressive shot list with both Heath and Jason shooting and the awesome team from Staples bouncing between sets. Check out these fun picts from our day!
