About Heath

It was a love of photography that inspired Heath Robbins to leave his job as an agency executive and travel the world with a camera in hand. More than twenty years later, it is his love for food, people, and making pictures, that continues to fuel his commercial photography career with focus and passion. For every client and for every shoot, Heath sets out to capture moments, tastes, and emotions that pull people out of their everyday, and straight into the moments that he creates.

Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism

This was one of those challenging, frustrating yet completely rewarding jobs! It's the type of job my friends think is so glamorous yet takes more work and concentration than anyone realizes. We got a call from Christina at Mullen on a Wednesday or Thursday I think asking if we would be interested in shooting for MOTT (Mass Office of Travel & Tourism) it was an assignment to cover the entire state and create a library of images for them to use. Then came the details: It had to be done in 1 week and it had to be next week. It took a little maneuvering but we were able to clear the calendar and start calling to set up our schedule. Patrick my assistant ended up having to do a lot of scheduling while on the road while Jenna did the same from the studio.

In the end we traveled 987 miles in 5 days (see map with route marked in red), started at 5 AM each day and finished around 10 PM and shot 2600 images. The only drawback and why I was frustrated was the weather which didn't cooperate for much of the time so when it rained or was overcast we went indoors or tried to find angles that worked without the horizon. In the end we got some great images and hopefully you'll see some of them in the Massachusetts advertising.
