This year as my wife Lisa turned 40, she decided to run the Boston Marathon. Sounds like a simple thing but given she hadn't run since High School it was a big deal. It was an incredible experience for both of us. For her obviously because of the accomplishment and for me in witnessing the perseverance and determination it took to complete that race. She even had to have her knee wrapped at mile 17 in order to keep running but as she so eloquently put it when I saw her at mile 14 "I'm crossing that finish line no matter what it takes".
