About Heath

It was a love of photography that inspired Heath Robbins to leave his job as an agency executive and travel the world with a camera in hand. More than twenty years later, it is his love for food, people, and making pictures, that continues to fuel his commercial photography career with focus and passion. For every client and for every shoot, Heath sets out to capture moments, tastes, and emotions that pull people out of their everyday, and straight into the moments that he creates.

Day (Night) in the life of a restaurant

I had the pleasure of shooting in Chef Jeff Fournier's two restaurants this month: 51 Lincoln and Waban Kitchen. Incredible restaurants, amazing food and fantastic crews. My goal was to catch a little slice of what life is like in the back of the restaurant. 

I've shot in hundreds of kitchens and know what it can be like; my goal was to show the chefs intensity, dedication to their craft and deep partnerships.

It's like a dance, shooting in the working kitchen of a busy restaurant, but these guys were really great as I moved in and out of their carefully coreographed movement.

Here is a small selection of the hundreds of pictures we shot. You can see more of my personal lifestyle work, shot in restuarants, on my website.

Hey there! I found you through Yankee Magazine (A New Yankee Clambake). I have been looking through your site for about 30 mins now. Lol. I love your work and aspire to be at the level you are. I shot weddings for 6 years and am now shooting stock for Stocksy.com, but really want to be where you're at as well. I'm not sure how to get there or how one navigates to that point. Anyway, absolutely love your work and will definitely be checking back often to see what else you're up to! I'm sure there's a line out the door of people asking to assist, but I'd like to get in line as well!
